Salman Saeed is a well-known Pakistani TV actor with a diverse portfolio of acclaimed dramas, including Haqeeqat, Kasak, Amanat, Wo Ishq Tha Shayad, Takkabur, Bharosa, Mera Dil Mera Dushman, Bharras, and Khudgharz. He earned significant praise for his role in the recent hit drama serial Ehsaan Faramosh, where he masterfully portrayed a complex negative character. Salman is the younger brother of the renowned actor and producer Humayun Saeed. In addition to his acting career, Salman is an avid cricket player and a member of Pakistan Showbiz’s cricket team. He is also happily married and has a lovely family.
Recently, Salman appeared on FHM’s podcast, hosted by Adnan Faisal, where he shared insights about his career journey and his relationship with his brother. Reflecting on how he entered the industry, Salman revealed, “I was given an opportunity by a writer, not by my brother Humayun Saeed. If Humayun had been the one to offer me a role, I would have had a more formal launch like many others. Instead, I was offered a role casually, which I accepted during a period of personal struggle. I had left my job and turned to acting.”
Discussing his brother’s influence, Salman noted, “Humayun is not often on set with me, but if he were, it wouldn’t affect my performance. He doesn’t give many acting tips but advises me to stay fit. He’s my biggest critic and often tells me not to imitate him. While people might say I resemble him, it’s only natural because we’re brothers. He encourages me to develop my own path.”
On the topic of facing challenges as an actor, Salman commented, “Struggles are part of every profession. Success doesn’t eliminate the effort behind it. Even top actors seek work from producers. Despite being Humayun Saeed’s brother, I still go through auditions and directly approach producers for roles. I’m a freelance actor and sometimes even reach out to my brother for opportunities. It’s all part of the journey in this competitive industry.”
